Are You Kiddin'?

A soldier got a letter from his girl friend and she signed it “Mother.” The soldier wrote back and asked why she signed it “Mother,” and this is her reply:

M is for the many times you made me.

O is for the other times you tried.

T is for the tourist camp we stayed in.

H is for the Hell that’s in your eyes.

E is for those everlasting parties.

R is for the wreck you made of me.

Put them all together, they spell “Mother,” and brother, that’s what I'm going to be!

Nooooo --- I'm Not Kiddin'!

Then, just to prove to her that he wasn't kiddin', the soldier wrote her just one more letter, as follows:

F is for the funny things you think of.

A is for the answer; 'tis good-bye.

T is for the trouble you are into.

H is for the hunch I'm not the guy.

E is for the 'eetie, 'beetie, baby.

R is for the rogue who did it, don’t you see?

Put them all together, they spell “Father,” so blame it on some other guy not me!
