YAKIMA - Wilma Dunn, 94, passed away August 3, 2006 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born February 11, 1912 in Yakima, Washington to McKinney Dow Lambert and Bessie (Meredith) Lambert.

She graduated from Wapato High School with the class of 1930 1/2. Her parents owned a small restaurant across from the High School which was a popular lunch spot for the students. You could get a small hamburger for a nickel and a deluxe for a dime.

In 1934 she married Lawrence Stump and they had a daughter. Wilma worked for General Electric Corp. in Seattle WA for 21 1/2 years until retiring in 1972.

In 1957 she married John Y. Scott in Seattle where together they owned John Scott Saw & Knife Co. They sold the company in 1972 and moved to Hemet, CA, where they resided until John's death in 1985. She was an avid golfer and won the Seven Hills Club Championship in 1976.

In 1987 she married Russell Dunn in Hemet, and they traveled to many places including, Hawaii, New Zealand, Alaska and the Panama Canal. Summer vacations were spent in such places as Steamboat Springs, CO, Montana and Bend, OR, or anywhere Russ could fish. These were truly the most fun years of Wilma's life until the untimely death of Russ in 1996.

Wilma then decided she needed to be closer to family and returned to Yakima where her brother Dow, sister Eloise and daughter and son-in-law lived.

She resided at Sun Tower since 1997 where she made many new friends. While living at Sun Tower she participated in weekly exercises, was Chairman of the outside entertainment for several years and served as Treasurer of the Resident Council until last year. She especially enjoyed her bridge group and looked forward to their Wednesday night games.

Wilma was preceded in death by her sister Lana Schindler, brother M. Dow Lambert Jr., her parents, husbands John Y. Scott and Russell Dunn.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Howard) Anderson, grandson Eric (Paula) Anderson and their daughters Shannon and Gretchen. She is also survived by her sister Eloise Bonett of Yakima.
