When Dow started work for KIMA TV in Yakima, it was early days in television, and Dow actually invented, designed, and built many pieces of equipment that didn't yet exist. Some of the early equipment Dow built for KIMA is still in use today.

The KIMA artist fixed this photo for Dow to honor his promotion to Chief Engineer in late 1952.
